Sudarshan Jena, one of the accused in the murder case of lawmaker and BJP leader Pitavas Panda, has surrendered. Sudarshan has been absconding since the incident. It is learnt that he surrendered to the police on Thursday. It is worth noting that the police had earlier arrested 12 people, including BJD leader Vikram Panda, in the Pitavas murder case.
After this, the police had picked up another accused from Koraput. His name is Sunil Hota. Sunil has a farmhouse in Jaipur. Uma Bisoy, who was involved in the murder case, and Kurupati Bhuyan, the accused who shot Pitavas, stayed at Sunil’s farmhouse for four days.

A shameful incident has come to light from West Bengal. This time too, a female doctor has been brutally assaulted. It is a medical college, a junior female doctor. Who has been treated unfairly.
On Monday evening, a traffic guard attacked a female junior doctor at the Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay Medical College and Hospital in Uluberia, West Bengal.
According to the police, Sheikh Babulal (35), a home guard of the Uluberia traffic guard, admitted a woman relative of his to the maternity ward of the hospital. There were 10 to 12 people with him. At that time, a female junior doctor was on duty in the ward.
The female doctor had just examined Babulal’s relative. Then suddenly Babulal and the group that came with him became aggressive over the treatment. The accused claimed to be a police officer and abused the female doctor. Not only that, he twisted the doctor’s hand and bit her neck. Then he threatened to rape her if she came out of the hospital.
Seeing this behavior of Babulal, the female doctor was very scared. The nurses and ward attendants present there rescued the female doctor from Babulal. Later, the doctor cried and reported the incident and filed a written complaint at the Uluberia police station that night.
The female doctor said that at the time of the incident, no security personnel were present near the ward. Due to which it was easy for the attackers to beat them up. They were not afraid. The police have started an investigation into the incident. After preliminary investigation, home guard Babulal and two other persons have been detained for questioning.
On the other hand, rural police Subimal Pal said that the three accused were arrested after questioning. They will then be produced before the Uluberia court.
