Sharing a post on social media, Virat wrote, “It has been 14 years since I first wore the ‘Baggy Blue’ jersey in Test cricket. I never imagined how far this format would take me. Test cricket tested me, shaped me and taught me lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.”


For the past few days, many questions have arisen about Virat’s retirement. Virat had recently informed the BCCI about ending his Test career. But the BCCI had asked him to reconsider his retirement decision keeping in mind the upcoming England Test series.

However, Virat, who has already mentally prepared himself for retirement, is not willing to back down from his decision. Virat Kohli has already retired from T20Is. After retiring from Tests, he will now play only one-day matches. Kohli has played 123 Test matches so far. In which he has scored a total of 9,230 runs at a rate of 46.85. This includes 30 centuries and 31 half-centuries.
