Meanwhile, amid rising cases in countries like China, Thailand and Singapore, the government has advised hospitals to keep beds and oxygen ready. As per the report, there were 257 active cases as of May 19, 2025. States like Kerala, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu have reported high numbers of active cases.
