Chief Justice of India Justice B.R. Gavai has been admitted to the hospital. He was admitted to a hospital in Delhi after suffering from a serious infection during his visit to Hyderabad. CJI Gavai is currently undergoing treatment and is slowly recovering. No details about his infection have been available. Due to his treatment in the hospital, he has not been able to attend court work.
However, sources close to him have revealed that he will be discharged from the hospital in 2-3 days. On July 12, the CJI attended the convocation ceremony of the NALSAR Law University in Hyderabad’s Justice City.
While delivering the convocation speech, he advised people to go abroad on scholarships without putting financial pressure on their families. Justice B.R. Gavai also said that there is a great need to improve the judicial system.
