Plane Burned During Landing, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Dies A senior politician lost his life in a plane crash. No more Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and NCP chief Ajit Pawar has passed away in a plane crash. Ajit Pawar died in a plane crash. The accident occurred in Baramati, Maharashtra at 8.45 am on Wednesday. Six people on board the plane were killed. Ajit Pawar was on his way to Baramati to address a public meeting when the plane landed in Baramati. It is reported that the plane was completely burnt to ashes. It was Ajit Pawar’s personal plane. There were a total of six people on board the plane. The incident took place due to low visibility. The accident was horrific. After the accident, the entire area was covered in smoke. Ajit Pawar was going to attend a campaign rally in Baramati for the district council elections by plane this morning. Ajit Pawar was accompanied by his security guards and aides on the plane. Ajit Pawar received his basic political education from his uncle Sharad Pawar. He has been a prominent figure in Maharashtra politics for the past four decades. Ajit was the eighth Deputy Chief Minister of the state and served as a minister in various governments. Ajit Pawar, known as Dada among his supporters, entered politics in the 1980s under the tutelage of his uncle Sharad. He achieved his first electoral success in 1991 by winning the Baramati Lok Sabha seat. However, he resigned soon after to make way for his uncle. Sharad then won the by-election and became the Defence Minister in the then Union government of P.V. Narasimha Rao. That same year, Ajit contested from his family stronghold Baramati Assembly seat and was elected as an MLA. He represented the constituency seven times. He won the 2019 assembly elections by a margin of over 1.65 lakh votes.
